Coffee, cake, and community since 2020

Riverbank Coffee believes in community, family, and supporting our local area.

Riverbank Coffee is a destination for everyone. We welcome families, dog walkers, cyclists, and anyone looking for a quiet escape. Our hope when we started was to provide a tranquil retreat for our local community. A large part of the appeal of our cafe is that you can only get here via stunning woodland and a riverside walk. This means you are obliged to spend time in nature and we all know how good for you that is!

So how did Riverbank Coffee begin?

Farm owners Brian and Jackie Kilcourse had the ambition of owning a coffee shop for many years. Having worked and managed a livery yard for over 30 years they really have seen the local area change and thrive. On the back of the local area becoming more popular and footpaths along the river being used by many, Jackie ramped up her dream of owning her own coffee shop and explored the possibility of making it a reality.

With lifelong friends, Dane and Jennifer Smith coming on board and contributing to the initial ideas, as well as bringing their previous business experience, they proved to be the final piece of the jigsaw! What was once a dream is now a thriving business.

What do we offer you at Riverbank Coffee?

Over the years, we have grown our business from a tiny coffee pod to a beautiful double container cafe. We have spent time improving the seating area, have added bicycle stands, and continue to consider ways to make our little corner of natural beauty even more inviting.

We also strive to offer you a wider variety of drinks, and snacks. Our homemade sausage rolls have become legendary and we aim to broaden our range of sweet and savoury treats in the future. Take a look at our menu here!

Keep an eye on our Facebook Page for our seasonal events too!

We are always willing to support local charities and not-for-profit organisations. For the past 2 years we have helped several local charities including fundraising efforts for a local school to build its own running track, we have also donated time and money to help improve local conservation projects and most recently we sponsored the construction of a classroom for a locally based charity that focusses its efforts on helping educate children from some of the poorest parts of Africa.
