Riverbank Coffee offers you the perfect combination of a beautiful family walk in nature with a delicious treat at the end. You can find us on the banks of the river Mersey, close to the Urmston meadows. We cannot be reached by car and there is no nearby parking. However, don’t let that put you off. It’s worth the walk through the beautiful woodland and along the river. In fact, our location is more than half the charm!
Whichever route you choose, you also get to enjoy a stunning countryside walk. Relax and feel the benefit to both your physical and mental health.
Do you love the idea of taking your young children cycling, but dread the traffic and pollution? Come down to the Riverbank! We are a 20-minute leisurely walk from several main roads, where you can be certain that your children are far away from cars.

“When Riverbank first opened during lockdown it was a godsend to us and we would walk up and grab a coffee almost every day!
We’ve watched Riverbank start from a small red coffee pod selling just coffee and hot chocolates to now selling milkshakes, a wide range of amazing cakes, and their fabulous homemade sausage rolls.
The staff are brilliant, always friendly and smiley and very welcoming. My little girl loves to go up and have a chat with them all.
Riverbank has literally gone from strength to strength, it’s an amazing spot next to the river, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your coffee and snacks. If you haven’t visited Riverbank yet you need to! There is something for everyone and we also love that they do seasonal coffees and snacks…. We can’t wait for the return of the gingerbread lattes again ”

If you look us up on Google maps you can select a walking route and you’ll see you can access us from several locations. It all depends on which direction you’re heading from. Some local roads you might reach us from include, Stretford Road, Meadow Road, Queens Road, Newcroft Road & Banky Lane. The nearest pay and display car park is on Manor Road next to St. Clement’s Church and is found using postcode M41 9JZ. When choosing somewhere to park can we ask that you are mindful & respectful to our neighbours, local residents, and other local businesses?
